Sue Beaty is the teacher for the M/W/F morning class and coordinates the FPA’s summer enrichment program. She is also sharing the Lead Teacher responsibilities with Nancy Lewis. Mrs. Beaty has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Elementary Education. She also holds Missouri and New York Elementary Teaching Certificates. Mrs. Beaty has been a member of the FPA since 1983 and served on the Board as Secretary and President. Mrs. Beaty began teaching at Fulton Preschool in 1991. Mrs. Beaty has taught third and fourth grade, Adult Basic Education (GED), and has also coordinated and taught preschool Sunday school classes.
Sandy McDaniel is the teacher for the T/TH morning class and the M/W/F afternoon class. She has been a teacher at Fulton Preschool since 2003. Prior to teaching, she was the classroom aide for this class during the 2002/2003 school year. She was a kindergarten aide for 2 years and a special education aide for 4 years with Fulton Public Schools. She currently manages a remedial reading program for kindergarten – 5th grade with Fulton Public Schools.
Nancy Lewis is the teacher for the T/TH afternoon class. Nancy was the substitute teacher for the Tuesday-Thursday afternoon class from March 31, 2015 -May 20, 2015. She is also sharing the Lead Teacher responsibilities with Mrs. Beaty. Mrs. Lewis has a B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Masters in Early Childhood Education. She taught over 20 years at Bartley Elementary School in Fulton in kindergarten and reading. For the past 2 years, she has volunteered at Millersburg Preschool. During the summer, she teaches a kindergarten class at her church’s VBS.Our Aides:
Patricia Moak is the teacher’s aide for the M/W/F morning class and the T/TH morning and afternoon classes. She has been a teacher’s aide since 2009 and has been a member of FPA since 2006, when her older son began attending preschool. Patricia conducts Spanish classes for youngsters at the Callaway Library and hopes to incorporate some Spanish lessons in our preschool program.
Chrissy Starnes is the teacher’s aide for the M/W/F afternoon class. We welcome her as she begins her first year on staff at Fulton Preschool. She began to pursue a degree in elementary education, which has been placed on hold for the moment. Previously she was a teacher’s aide for KCA preschool, working for 4 years in the 4-5 year old classroom. She is actively involved in her church’s children’s ministry through nursery, bible school and Sunday school programs.
